While having my morning coffee that day 09 11 01, I never knew or would believe that this day would mark a changing point in my life forever. As this site and many others over the Internet started I saw that our voices yet small would never lay down before this threat in our world. 911 will always be a part of my life and so will your letters and shared feelings. If you know of any other WTC sites, send this information to those who are building the WTC memorial in NY. I would gladly donate all the designs and letters to be part of a this memorial Because this site belongs to you, Those who share it, Those who see it, and an unwavering statement to those who lost a loved one, Our Hearts will never forget, Our Lives will never be the same, Our Tears will never be forgotten, Our Love and Compassion will never waiver, We will never forget 911 Richard Guyon WTC Memorial Tribute Site designer

Letter (03/01/04) nine
eleven - once just a phone code, became a symbol. not only for the u.s.,
for all of us. This day will be remembered by all of us, where we were is
not of importance, we all remember what we did, what we thought in these
moments. Our all life changed. This act of terrorism was not against us, the "capitalistic world", it was against all freedom loving people. People of every "color", of every "religion" were killed innocent by these stone-aged-fanatics. For me, "Together we stand" is not an American slogan, it's a slogan for all freedom-loving people. The sad thing is, that now the final fight of cultures begins, democracy against totalism, humanity against religious fanatics. We never should forget, that ALL MEN ARE EQUAL!

Hello. Maria God Bless you too Maria, and may your letter acknowledge this world of ours, belongs to us all. That no nation should stand alone against another, that we are all God's children, and should love one another no matter what race or nation we are part of, because we are all part of humanity. I am a Deputy Sheriff from Calcasieu Parish Louisiana. I remember 911 very well. I had just
gotten off the night shift and was sitting on my couch unwinding. I turned on the television and my heart fell to the floor when I saw what had happened in New York. So many emotions went through me at one time, at first it was disbelief Thank you Cpl. Joshua A. Couch for your letter, and for making a decision in life to protect others. Yours is a lifestyle that every day is filled with uncertainty. How quickly we forget when were getting a ticket, that you are there to protect our lives, our children and loved ones. God Bless you, your family and your fellow law enforcement co-workers. Sincerely Richard Guyon WTC Memorial Tribute Site designer

Me and my family are just back from New York on December 20th 2003, what we
saw in this beautiful City were people touched by such tragedy and pain but
also people who have managed to get their lives back on track. We went to
the site where the WTC stood and we were dumbfounded I cried and my husband
was amazed even my 6 year old son was humbled, the evil that happened here
was awful but the innocent people that died that day will be forever in my
thoughts. You have an amazing City and America is an amazing country you are
brilliant people to have come through the other side of what can only be the
darkest point in the Cities history. We loved the place so much that
we will come back, but in the meantime you are all in my thoughts.

Greetings From Ireland,
Christmas New York "Greetings of Love" is the title of a song that I composed for 911 on the 27th of September 2001. It tells the story in words and music through the eyes of two eleven year old Irish boys as the watch with horror the events of that terrible day. Christmas is but a few short days away and I think about you all the
time. May this Christmas find you happiness and peace. http://www.corkcorp.ie/departments/fire/news_christmasny.html#recording |

It is more than two years ago, and I am still thinking
about the tragedy very often. I lost my mother in law not so long ago, and then you realize what it really means to loose a person you loved. I want to wish everybody who lost somebody the strength and the help of God to deal with this. Cas, the Netherlands

I am a 12 year old girl who lost a very special someone in this tragedy. I
lost a cousin. He was on the 105th floor. You see, i was in school this day
and my mom had gotten out of work early to pick me up. My teacher told me
about what happened in New York and i was shocked and had nothing to say. I
did not know that my cousin had worked in the WTC until my mom told me that
he was in there. I started asking my mom questions that she ended up not
knowing the answers to but i was just in shock, i mean i had absolutely
nothing to say. I went to my cousins memorial the next month and I was
crying and i could not believe he was really gone~. I shared my feelings, I
shared my thoughts and this is dedication to all the heros and most of
all.......my cousin. ~We Will Never Forget~ ~God Bless The USA~ ~Sincerely, Cathy Castellonas

I am now listening to the DVD of " America a
tribute to heroes". And when you watch it I got tears in my eyes again. It was really unbelievable. It causes so much pain, why does these kind of things happen? May God bless the people who have lost their beloved ones and bless America. Your sincerely, Cas,the Netherlands |

Hello everybody my name is Christina and I'm from Denmark... I write to
you all because I won't to share my feelings with you all. When I'm
thinking of September 11'th my heart starts to cry, my whole body starts
to cry, when I see pictures from that day, I don't know what to do, I fell
guilty when I'm just sitting here at my little home and watching all the
people offered their lives to save other lives, I would just wish that I
could help, I would wish I was there that day so I could offered my life
to save others... I wish that I could come to America and share my love
with your all.
In the begging I didn't really know what was going on but when I saw the to towers collapsed I began to cry, and when all the people jumped out from the buildings it was just... I don't know it is so hard to describe... but to all who reads this, I will always think about the attack on pentagon and the world trade center. God bless your all... and to all the faire-men and police-men and (I don't know that the names is on them but) all the medicine-men and women God bless your all and your all did a very good job that day I will never forget it!! GOD BLESS AMERICA Love and thoughts from Christina 16 Denmark

Thank you for creating a site where we can all reflect, grieve, and heal.
May we never forget the true heroes who ran in when everyone else ran out.

Thank You for the time and devotion to this web site. I know that it's been
two years, but it seems like only yesterday. Only yesterday that I
looked up at the magnificent structure that was the Twin Towers. We
never could have imagined that this tragedy could occur. Not in our wildest
dreams. That some one could plan and carry out such a thing is
horrific. To snuff out innocent lives and be proud of it. I have no
words. We New Yorkers are strong. We have survived, we will rebuild
our lives. And we will NEVER forget. My prayers to the families of all
those who lost loved ones in this tragedy, and I continue to pray that we
will recover from this pain. God Bless... Wanda Arzon Brooklyn, NY, USA

Well, I will first say that I'm so very sorry for the people who have lost
their family members and friends during the hate-filled activities that occurred
on September 11, 2001. Even on this same, day 2 years later I still
feel and will always feel the sadness and remorse in my soul. My
thoughts and prayers are with you.
God Bless you. God Bless America. Audrey San Antonio, Texas

As year 2 comes and goes truly the people that have a heart will still have
the pictures fresh in their minds of just how life can do a 360 in a flash.
Love is something that people can get from so many places from so many
people but love was must apparent in the mothers, fathers, brothers and
sisters lost in this horrible act by these losers! Imagine the wife at
home with the new born, and she turns the t.v on and bam! just like that the
husband is gone or look at it any way you want! it just doesn't make sense.
Sometimes in life things don't turn out the way we want them and that's
fine. See i have never won the lottery but God knows i hope and pray.
But the real issue here is that nobody has the right to decide the fate of
others at least not in the way this happened. The idiot who planned
this out for years is honestly one messed up person to plan to kill so many
people for such a long planning process is truly a sick person. And I'm
sure you the sick pig reads sites such as this one just loving the pain you
have caused but so where ever you are remember one thing! you might hate us
but we all hate you! And we will get you some day some where some how
we will get you and when we do imagine all the families you hurt, scared,
and women and kids you left to fend for themselves because it will be us
that will get our hands on you 1st! and when we do, then and only then will
our pain slowly go away as your capture will be our anvil! To the
one's who were left behind God Bless you all and when times get ruff remember
your loved one's smile like only you can.

Today marks the 2nd anniversary of the tragedy and i wish to once again send
out my deepest condolences to the victims and families of this despicable act
of evil, to all the emergency workers and volunteers who worked around the
clock to salvage some sort of closure for the families we can only praise
you. But the think that makes me most proud is the way the world came
together in a shared grief no matter if they were from China or Argentina we
are citizens of this world and we the people that day brought us closer. Reading some of the comments and watching the movies brought back overwhelming emotional memories but we must not forget and i believe we will NEVER FORGET 9/11, I'm just thankful they are sites like your own that allows us to make our own little marks of respect as myself being from Scotland i will make it to New York one day to leave a proper mark of respect its the least these people no these heroes deserve. Hands across the waters my friends we shall never be defeated. Gary Toner Glasgow Scotland

I still cannot cry............ It hurts so yet I never met a
one. Strangers to me so why the pain I still don't understand. Yes, I am a
displaced New Yorker but always a New Yorker at heart yet still I cannot
cry. I get a tear out or two, oh yeah, that I can do. The songs, the
tributes strike deep. The visuals I received that beautiful morning as
horrible events unfolded, etched in my soul forever. The tourists strolling
on the boardwalk from one casino to another had no idea what I had just
witnessed. That elderly woman's "good morning" showed me just how
naive they all were. My first thoughts at beginning moments were "how
are they ever going to fix that building" The guilt I still feel having
not even thought about all the good people seems real to me. Still I cannot
seem to cry. I was so compelled to go there, after all, I am a New Yorker,
yet I did not act. It's been 2 years tomorrow and still I have not been
there. I am not exactly sure why. This Sunday the 14th I will make that
trek. As that time nears my anxiety builds, my anger flares, I
wonder.....will I be able to cry? Thank you for this site. A letter of feelings posted or not needs a home. Dennis Palma, Cape May County, New Jersey Dear Dennis

Today is September 10th, 2003. The thought of the anniversary of the
September 11th tragedies makes me weep. It feels as though I am
reliving the fear, confusion and heartbreak all over again. I am right
back to September 11, 2001. All it takes is a flash of the towers
collapsing and that same sick feeling comes over me. I know we must
try to put the past behind and live for the future, but never forget.
I will never forget and I don't believe my feelings will ever wane.
God Bless this great country of ours! God Bless all of the souls we lost on
September 11, 2001. God Bless the families left behind

On the eve of the 2nd anniversary I find that I cant think of anything else.
This site has shown me how many people all over the world feel the way I do
about 9/11.I'll never forget the horror, the devastation, the anger and the
shock. Everyone we lost that day was a true hero and I still cant fight the
tears when I think of them and their families. My thoughts, prayers and love
are with you all - always Leighanne, 20 Scotland

It's still hard to comprehend that this tragedy happened. I couldn't take my
eyes off the screen thinking this is something you would see in a disaster
movie. I like many millions of others were in shock. You keep saying to
yourself I can't believe it. I watched the History channel last night
about how the towers were built and how they collapsed. Also the incredible
hard painstaking work that went on after they were attacked. Everyone should
have been given a knighthood. Tonight I'll be watching about the
Firefighters of 911. I made a T-shirt after the Towers were attacked and I wear it on 9/11 to show my condolences and that America will never be forgotten. GOD BLESS AMERICA Sincerely yours Jackie Freeman Stokesley, UK

I felt bad when i saw the images when i got home. I was in Omaha Nebraska at
my middle school when the principal told that a plane had crashed. At first
i thought it was probably a little plant like a little one. But no when i
came home i just immediately broke down crying. I was scared. Because my dad
was a police officer but not in New York in Omaha. and i was wondering because
he was in the bomb squad if the terrorist planted bomb some where in Omaha.
and when i got home like 45 minutes later my mom a dad came home said where
ok. BUT I FELT SO BAD WHAT HAPPENED TO THOSE PEOPLE CHILDREN DEAD THEIR
PARENT LOVE ONES I JUST FELT AWFUL WHAT JUST HAPPENED AND I WOULD SAY TO
ANYONE BE NICE TO YOU'RE LOVE ONES CHERISH THEM BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW IF THEIR
GOING TO DIE. AND I FELT LIKE THOSE PEOPLE THAT I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHERE
LIKE FRIENDS BUT THEY WEREN'T I PROBABLY SAW OR MET SOMEONE ON THAT DIES THEIR

Hello, my name is Ines Schäfer and I'm from Germany. My English is not that good, so please don't laugh at me. Although the big attack at NY is already two years ago, I'm shocked today like that day it had happened before two years. I never have been in America, but I would like to visit this great country '(especially NY) with my husband this Christmas. I would like to let you all Americans know that I'm with you, I feel with you and I am still really shocked and paralyzed, that someone could do something so unbelievable cruel like that! I can't believe it and I'd like to tell you right this feeling, I have in this moment. I am proud of your energy and your strength and you can be really proud of all the Americans who left their lives for helping other people (all the firemen and police officers) and I feel with their families. God bless you and gives you enough power to overcome this hard times! Yours Ines Ines Schäfer Germany- Billigheim |

IT IS MY THOUGHT THAT AN APPROPRIATE MEMORIAL TO THE FALLEN OF THE TRADE
CENTER WOULD BE A SMALL MONUMENT OUTSIDE THE NEW BUILDING. THE MONUMENT
WOULD LIST THE NAMES OF THE VICTIMS. MOST IMPORTANTLY EACH ROOM OF THE NEW
BUILDING WOULD BW DEDICATED TO A FALLEN PERSON OR PERSONS FROM 9/11. THESE
ROOM BEARING A PLAQUE STATING TO WHOM THEY ARE DEDICATED. CONFERENCE ROOMS
AND MEETING HALLS COULD BE DEDICATED TO FIRE, POLICE AND EMT PERSONNEL, IN
ORDER OF RACK. SAMUEL J. GILBERT USA |

Well, I don’t know where to begin…as we approach the two year
anniversary of the day I refer to as the “end of our innocence” in this
country, the bipartisan politics against the stop of terrorism seem to make
headlines and it seems as though we just may forget. I found your web
site while looking for a patriotic gift for a friend leaving, and have shed
many tears since stumbling upon it. My heart still breaks for the
people and families in the towers and outlying areas who lost their lives or
loved ones. I also find myself weeping for the lost American lives in
Iraq and other areas as we try to end this terrorism that we thought we were
safe from. I hope that other people can have the same reverence that
you seem to embrace and realize that our missions over in Iraq are necessary
to avert living as the Irish and Israelis have for years- in constant
fear. I thank you for such a dignified and loving tribute to
those who have fallen in the fateful day that was the end of our innocence.
Kristy Walker Texas Kristy, your letter is yet another that I type and retype and change again a response to. Again my heart is so touched.... that I find it hard to put my emotions into words... Thank you Kristy for sharing your love, and for the tears I have wiped from my eyes tonight in sharing that love God Bless you and your family Richard

Hello I'm living in BC and for the first time I have seen most everything on
this beautiful site. My saddened eyes are weeping, I am a little disappointed
in our Governments contributions. My heart goes out to all who have been
effected in the devastation, It is nice to know that some Countries have the
backbone to rid the world of this kind of terrorism, I am only disappointed
again that the Canadian gov, is in lack of participation. The fight to keep
our Country's safe and free doesn't seem to be a high priority, for them. I
only hope that we see a change in this, It is something that has to be done,
or no place will be free and safe. God bless America and he who gives
himself to the continued struggle, to keep a safe and free world.

Until 9/11/01, I never realized why I was so drawn to the towers on my last
visit before the tragedy in September 1998. I spent over $100 in
admission tickets to "go to the top" every day for the 6 days I
was in New York City. Friends and co-workers know of my undying love
for the city and how my heart absolutely disintegrated that day. My
Father is a retired fire fighter in Houston, Texas and until the CBS special
that followed the fire fighters around did I realize what a hero he is.
He moved from the fire station to the marshall's office when I was young so
I didn't realize the danger he was in. There is not a day that goes by
that I do not think about the people who died but more so of the hero's that
died looking for people to rescue.
Please know that all of the people in New York are thought about and prayed for every day. I hope that God gives each of the family members the strength to keep going and that they will reach out to him for comfort. And as I watch WPIX on satellite, my mind goes back to the blank TV screen that horrible day that changed my life like so many others' forever. Michael L. United States of America

It is saddening, the start of what was to follow. more deaths, and it hasn't
stopped, and probably never will. These people with the will to destruct and
dismantle the structure that God laid out. these single minded men with no
minded followers, It helps to settle the uneasiness of this kind of world devastation,
to see that someone is trying to rid the world of people like bin laddin. I
live in Canada and I see the Gov with no backbone. It saddens me. My heart
and blessing goes out to anyone that felt the darkening of Sept 11.

Not long and it's 2 years ago ..., but I'll never forget ! In the 70th I worked for the US Army here in Berlin and I had many American friends, so a part of my heard is still living for the Americans and this great nation. Now I am a firefighter for many years since the allied had left Germany. On the day when this terrible attack happened I was on duty and we saw on CNN how our American colleagues where fighting to save lives...- and lost their own when the towers collapsed. Never before so many of "our family" lost their lives and we all where shocked. Now it's two years ago but we still remember! Never forget... !!! God bless America, all American people and all your firefighters! Michael Mewes Germany |

It has been close to 2 years since the single event in the USA changed the world. I remember what I was doing when the first plane crash
occurred. I'm currently as was then as well, a police dispatcher and was on the phone with one of my local police officers when a news flash came across. My officer was thanking me for a job well done because it was originally designated as police/fire and ems dispatchers day. I was on the phone with him and was about to turn off the tv in the dispatch center when the infamous video of the first plane flying into the World Trade Center. I remember I had mixed emotions as I sat and watched the video, over and over throughout that day and days to continue. A short while later I remember sitting in the dispatch center in total awestruck and how quiet the whole world came, not a call came into the center from the public. I remember sitting there thinking that Osama Bin Laden had something to do with it. He just had to. He had a hand in the first WTC bombing and was in the terrorist field. It was heart sinking to know hours later that several members of my brotherhood had died in a
senseless act, but doing what they did best, trying to save the lives of so many people. Each one of them died a hero, each one of the public safety community (police, fire, ems and their dispatchers) are living heros. We each have chosen this as our career and do so at expense of so much to be able to provide a safe environment for everyone. Each one of us don't
necessarily want to die in the line of duty, but each one of us would give up our lives to ensure that someone else's life is spared. That, I can guarantee, each and everyone of the 343 firemen and all the policemen that died in that horrific event was thinking about, saving as many of the people trapped in the WTC as they can. Many paid the price with their life attempting to get those trapped out, both public and private sectors. In closing, I pray that no one else has to die a senseless death in the childish and
sadictive nature
Richard

It's about 2 years ago, but I still can't forget that day in New York, the day that 2 planes crashed into the World Trade Centre. That day there was a strange feeling going around in me, how it was possible that such a beautiful thing, the life of a
thousand people, was ruined in only a few minutes. Family of the New York Fire and Police Department, and also the policeman and fireman who have to live today with the feeling that one of their brothers died in this disaster. In Belgium we all felt related with the people there in New York. God Bless America! Jürgen Duerinckx Belgium

I have watched each of your tributes. I am from a fire family and was a ff
myself. while I was not selected as one of our representatives to NY my
cousin was. I caught every funeral I could find on TV and attended every
memorial I could. It is now almost two years later and I am still brought to
tears. They are a mix of sadness at the loss of so many brothers but also of
pride. It took a catastrophe for this country as a whole to see the hero's I
know every day. Even the rookies, who still idolized the job, where there to
do what they did everyday. Fire Fighters and Police are an uncommon bunch.
While a civilian may never understand why, they are always there when the
call comes in. I carry a coin in my pocket from the Columbus OH FD that has
the Twin Towers on it. I show it to everyone that asks, just so they too
will remember.
Ginny Stevens Mississippi, USA Yes Ginny, there lives a true hero in the so easily forgotten men and women of the FD or PD of our world. How quick we jump to anger when we get caught in a speed trap, yet we forget that officer is there to protect our children from drivers who speed through school zones, and the Fireman who runs into a burning home to save our loved ones, but when the day is done and the flames are gone, these brave heroic members of our fire departments go back to their hall, not seeking gratitude or praise, but knowing and praying the next day at work they will return home again. God Bless you and all the firefighters, you are truly the bravest of the brave and there is always a place in my heart for you and your fellow firefighters. Richard (site designer)

Hello family! I say family, because that's what we all are when you think
about it! I was searching for tributes to 9-11 and came across this
wonderful page! There are many sites dedicated to WTC and 9-11, this is the
first one I've posted a comment on. Even today...July 15, 2003 my heart
still aches and my eyes still tear up at the sight of our people in so much
pain from what happened! With God in our hearts, we can live on, but we can
never forget! I know that the actions of one person, cannot make everybody
else guilty! We all need to understand that not everybody in Afghanistan or
Iraq feel the same as those who have come and destroyed what we have! We
need to learn to love our fellow man, no matter how different we are or what
we believe in! We also need to remember that, they can destroy what we
build, they might even take away our freedom, but they can never, never take
away our love for each other! God bless you all, and I love you!

I'm a volunteer firefighter in my community. On September
11, I was devastated, knowing there was nothing I could do to help my fallen
brothers. All firefighters have a special bond whether we are volunteer or
fulltime, In my eyes we are all brothers no matter what state, country, race
or religion, we have a special bond that nobody can take away. When I
saw my brothers fall in the line of duty my heart sank like a rock for them
and there families. people ask us why do we want to be what we are, some
have no explanation but the real reason is to help are fellow man no matter
how dangerous it is. some people say volunteers are not real firefighters,
but they don't understand we are on call twenty-four hours seven days a
week, no matter what the time it is or what we are doing we still answer the
call without asking questions or even thinking about the danger. my heart
goes out to FDNY. Someday I would like to go to New York and visit the were

HI USA, THIS IS THE LAND THAT I LOVE. I HAVE NEVER BEEN THERE BUT I FEEL THAT I ALWAYS BELONG TO AMERICA. PART OF ME DIED THAT DAY WHEN THOUSANDS WERE KILLED BY THE TERRORISTS ON SEP 11.I WATCHED IN HORROR AND I CRIED MY HEARTS OUT FOR THOSE WHO DIED AND THEIR FAMILIES. EVEN TODAY...I CAN STILL FEEL THE PAIN. I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO UNDERSTAND WHY THEY HAD TO CHOOSE AMERICA....A NATION WHO IS ALWAYS READY TO HELP OTHERS IN NEED. |

Hi
USA, land that I love ...
I'm sorry about my english, and this is why my message will be in french :) New-York est la ville que je préfère le plus dans ce monde cruel.

New York is the city which I
prefer most in this cruel world. I shall never forgive what they made to
the World Trade Center. The city of New York is not any more as before
now, regrettably. The most beautiful of everything monuments has just
disappeared for ever. This tragedy should never have been born. I shall
regrettably have had no time to visit the WTC: (New York, I am with you,
in the depths of my heart.

I am deeply touch for the events that occurred
almost two years ago. it was hard for me to see how this great
country was falling apart. now that I am doing a project in school
about the victims of 911, now I feel sadder for this monstrous
attack. Vanessa Madden

Let me introduce myself, My name is Cate and
I'm a young Australian who just found your website and I still feel sorry for what happened years ago, September 11 we got the message at around 10:30 at night so i was just about to go to sleep, it came on to our tv channel 10 live and i was just so speechless, My mother yells "quick come here, look American is under attack" i was like oh my god... so we sat and just watched for a half an hour but i had school the next day so i went to bed telling mum " call me if another one hits" i thought nothing of it... of course as you already know another plane hits and mum wakes me again.... well i didn't get much sleep that night because i was so worried that maybe a plane was on it's way to Australia, i highly love American people with your cool humor and relaxed lifestyles and one day i hope to visit the land of America. Keep fighting America, Lots of Love Cate

i am only 14 years old but i
would like to say that i was devastated at what happened to the WTC
on September 11th. Although i do not live in America i was really upset
and angry when it showed me the victims, firefighters, police,
citizens and the public on the television. This disaster hit me hard and
made me think how lucky i am to have my family with me and made me
appreciate them an awful lot more. I want to say that America has so much
support from the UK and are backing them all the way.
God Bless America!!!!!
God Bless all the Victims of the disaster !!!!!!! We are
thinking of you always !!!!
Love Melanie, UK
